Join Us for this Year’s Charity Regatta Bart’s Bash 2022! Bart’s Bash is a charity regatta which takes place once a year on the same day across the world in honour of Andrew Simpson, an exceptional sailor, who started the Andrew Simpson foundation with the aim of bringing the joy of sailing to everyone, especially the less fortunate. Event details: When: 10th September 2022 Where: Segelschule Hofbauer powered by Boats2Sail, An der Oberen Alten Donau 186, 1220 Vienna Availability of boats: 12 pirates (please see below for details regarding registration) Cost: €50/person, to be paid in CASH at registration Should you wish to sail with your own boat the cost per person will remain the same. Time Registration opens at 9.30 a.m. Skipper’s briefing: 10 a.m. 1st Race start: 10.30 a.m. 2nd Race start: 11.30 a.m. Please be aware that the starting time will be dependent on wind conditions. End of Bart’s Bash: 12 to 1 p.m. Registration: There are two registration links, one for VISC members and one for NOn-Members. When registering please indicate clearly your first and last name, if you plan on helming or not and if you have a crew as follows: Melanie Smith (crew, Michael Mueller) NoR: As there will be more sailors than boats available, please be aware that the first race of the day VISC members will be given priority. For the second race all Non-VISC members will have the chance to compete. The winner of Bart’s Bash will be selected according to the low point system. Thus, the podium will be shared to also further increase bonding among sailors. Please be aware that this is a friendly competition without prize money. For VISC Members: please understand that you can only participate in the first morning race for Bart’s Bash. Once Bart’s Bash is finished, we will continue with VISC’s annual Autumn Regatta.
