Your data is important. We do everything we can to protect your data and personal information from loss, unauthorized access, manipulation and desctruction. We will describe which data we collect and how we us it below. If there are any questions left, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
When you use our service you send information to Xoyondo. This information can be personal (e.g. names, email addresses) or non-personal (e.g., possible meeting times). We collect these information and store them in our databases to provide our services.
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
How we use your data
The information you provide (e.g. names, email addresses) are stored in our databases for the duration of the poll in order to create the poll website where participants can vote for their favorite option. If the poll or message board is deleted these information will also be removed from the database. If you choose to invite the participants via Xoyondo we store their email addresses for the duration of the poll. These email addresses are only accessible from the admin area of your poll.
During the setup of a poll you have the possibility to import your Google or Yahoo address book in order to invite the participants to your poll more easily. The import process is setup in such a way that we do not have access to your Google/Yahoo password at any time. Furthermore, we do not store your Google/Yahoo addess books on our server but only those email addresses that you chose to invite to your poll. All email addresses of participants are removed once you delete the poll.
We will never share, sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties at any time unless we have your permission or are required by law.
How we protect your data
Xoyondo implements several mechanisms to prevent the unauthorized access to polls and accounts.
A poll can only be accessed using a unique link that is created by Xoyondo and distributed by the administrator (himself or via Xoyondo). This link contains a 15 digit random code that identifies the poll and prevents unauthorized access due to the complexity of the code.
User accounts are protected by passwords. Passwords are only stored in encrypted form on our servers. We check the strengh of your password during the sign-up process in order to ensure that your password is sufficiently complex. This increases the security of your account.
All of your data is stored on modern webservers with the highest security standards. See "Location of the data" for more details.

Xoyondo makes use of log files. The information inside the log files includes IP addresses, type of browser, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp and referring/exit pages. Log files are not removed when a poll is deleted.
