2026 Biosafety/Biosecurity escape room
Oh no! The lab's zombie-like plant has gotten out of the containment system and is hiding somewhere in the lab. If not found and contained, it will spread its pollen and cause chaos throughout the institute.
Help the lab find and properly contain the plant before it pollinates, save everyone in the lab, and stop yet another zombie apocalypse!
Sign up now to participate in this unique biosafety-themed escape room challenge. Each time-slot is open for up to 8 participants. If registering for a group, each person will need to be registered separately to hold those spots. If spaces are available, individuals can sign up for the escape room during the event.
No doors will be locked during the event.
The challenge has a 30-minute time limit. Participants will need to locate the plant and the correct SOP and materials, and contain the plant before it pollinates. But be careful- if it isn't correctly contained in 30 minutes, the plant will spread its pollen, potentially causing another zombie apocolypse.
Individuals with a disability who desire an accommodation can contact Regina Allen at [email protected] during regular business hours, at least 10 business days prior to the event.
***Group sign-up instructions: If you are signing up a group, you will need to add the name of each person to hold the number of spots needed. Check the box for a time slot, add your name, and click Save. On the page that opens, click the "Go Back to Sign Up" link. Then, check the box for the same time slot, add the next name, and click Save. Repeat for each person.
